Leyland Brown is the Vice President of Workplace Productivity Solutions at Ricoh Canada Inc. She is responsible for driving growth and innovation within Ricoh’s services business, while introducing technologies to Ricoh’s portfolio to help Ricoh’s customer’s customer. Her primary focus is to assist organizations develop their visual communications and collaboration technology to drive workstyle innovation. Leyland also manages the IT consulting and IT managed services portfolios, for Ricoh, which provide cutting-edge technological solutions for businesses to meet arising information management, data governance and security challenges. She is also focused on increasing Ricoh’s market share for its managed print services (MPS) and software solutions.
Ricoh Canada provides a rich portfolio of consulting and managed services from Accounts Payable automation, information governance, through to enterprise content management and MPS. Leyland’s mandate includes not only growing Ricoh’s presence among its existing clients, but also diversifying into new markets by leveraging partners and the Ricoh ecosystem to deliver a best-in-class client experience.
Leyland joined Ricoh following a 22-year career with HP where she held various roles including VP Solutions – Canada; Director, Printing and Personal Systems Enterprise Sales; and VP and General Manager, Personal Systems Group. She was widely recognized for growing the services business and for successfully driving organizational transformation, including the implementation of change management programs. Her expertise was in delivering complex solutions to large enterprise and public sector clients. She is passionate about delivering quantifiable results, employee engagement and making an impact.
Also, of note is Leyland’s dedication to diversity and making a difference in the community. Leyland is an active Board member and volunteer for the Zonta Group of Oakville (http://zontaoakville.org/), a global organization dedicated to improving the status of women locally and globally. She is also part of Ricoh’s Diversity and Inclusion council and mentors a number of women inside and outside Ricoh.
Leyland graduated from York University with an Honours Business Degree and has won numerous sales and leadership awards throughout her career at HP, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. She was named the #1 IT Newsmaker of the Year in 2011 and was recognized as one of the top Canadian IT Women in the Channel in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
