ITAC Talent is involved with the Student Workplace Integrated Program (Career Ready) that identifies small/medium companies to receive wage subsidy for co-op placements. While the program is currently operating in four universities in Ontario, it will be extended to BC, Quebec, NB, and NS next year. Companies taking advantage of this program can receive up to $7000.00 if they employ a person from an under-represented group.
Another initiative of ITAC Talent focuses on the business case for hiring a person with a disability. A luncheon is being hosted on September 27, 2017 at the Deloitte office in the East Tower of the Bay Adelaide Centre, with speakers the Honorable David Onley, Former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Mark Patterson, Executive Director, Magnet Today.
