The CIO Association of Canada was pleased to host CIOCAN & Insight Canada: Enabling Business Agility Through IT on June 10th, 2021.
This session featured Mark Gelsomini, VP/CIO at De Havilland, Doug Quail, Manager of IT at Gibson Energy, Stephen Thorne, Enterprise Architect at Western Forest Products, and was facilitated by Darren Lloyd, VP Services, Insight Canada.
The panelists discussed how they overcame challenges and learned how to leverage technology solutions that enabled each to keep pace with change and achieve business agility.
The topics ranged from:
- A lack of process automation – what it can cost.
- WFH and radical shifts in headcount – how to manage.
- Implementation of a new core business application – on the fly, post-pandemic.
- Navigating a short timeline business divestiture.
