The CIOCAN Crisis Leadership award recognizes a current member for innovation and leadership during a crisis which may or may not include the COVID-19 pandemic. The nominated individual demonstrated resiliency and persistence to ensure his/her organization was able to continue with its business during the crisis.

Eligibility

All CIOCAN members in good standing, holding CIOCAN membership at the time of the nomination are eligible for this award.

Selection Criteria

The following criteria are considered in determining a recipient:

• INNOVATION: The individual exemplifies innovation through their strategy, business practice, risk based planning and operational processes around the crisis, ensuring business continuity as well as health and safety of all stakeholders.
• LEADERSHIP: The individual shows qualities that exemplify leadership and inspiration through resiliency and persistence..
• ACHIEVEMENTS: The individual has had a positive impact on their organization and sector.

The judging committee will review all nominations in consideration of the selection criteria and will recommend this year’s recipient to the CIOCAN Board of Directors, which has final approval on the recommendation. In the event that no nominee meets the criteria, no award will be presented.

Presentation

The 2023 CIOCAN Impact Awards will be announced and presented at the 2023 virtual CIO Peer Forum, being held in spring 2023. Nominations are to be completed by individual members.
