As a national organization that started in British Columbia, the CIO Association is registered through the BC Societies Act. As of November 28, 2016, there will be a new act in place. In order to be compliant with the updated legislation, a number of changes in the governance of the Association have been presented to members (through an e-blast that was sent on November 24). Members are invited to participate in an extraordinary meeting to consider the new Constitution and Bylaws of the Association on Tuesday, December 13 at 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.
